Umbles make the complicated clear
Thanks for the theory of constraints thinking process article by Michael and Elizabeth
Umble ("Barking up the Right Current Reality Tree," March/April).
They are experts on the theory of constraints, and you can see why. They take a
complicated topic and not only explain it very clearly so that everyone agrees (quite
a trick), but they also point out the cause of all the grief as just one thing, the core
problem.
While this is somewhat difficult to learn how to do, having that skill is obviously
powerful – powerful in that it makes it obvious where the organization should put its
energy.
I hope that [in the] next issue you invite them to show the future reality tree, which is
the answer.
